Orange and Apple Salad with Honey-Garlic Dressing

“New from the Kitchen”

Recipe of the Month – March 2020

Since we have our own honey here at the Inn we used it in lots of recipes.  This is one I shared 10 years ago but we have been using this salad more recently and have had many requests for the recipe for the dressing.  It is so incredibly easy and makes a different and refreshing salad.

To good times with great food.

Patty

Ingredients

Tear lettuce such as butter, romaine or green leaf into bite size pieces  1 red and one green apple (unpeeled) sliced

1 peeled and sectioned orange.

For 1/2 cup dressing:
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 peeled, crushed clove of garlic

For larger quantities, simply increase the amount of each ingredient proportionately.

Instructions
Put all three dressing ingredients in a glass jar with a lid, shake well.

Mix together the lettuce, apples and orange.

Toss dressing with salad right before serving and top with chopped sugared pecans.

Dressing will keep in refrigerator for a week to 10 days.
