Your I-95 Exit Guide Through South Carolina

Exit 181-A: Latta

Latta is a short 15-minute drive from I-95 and about 20 minutes from the South Carolina-North Carolina border. Our historic and charming boutique hotel sits in a gorgeous neighborhood just a couple of blocks away from the quaint downtown. This is an excellent overnight stop on your I-95 road trip through SC. Our comfortable rooms and top-notch restaurant make for a relaxing stay that will have you ready to conquer the rest of your journey! You can get out and stretch your legs by taking a walk around The Village and downtown Latta or stop for lunch at famous Shuler’s Bar-B-Que just outside of town. Abingdon Manor is truly an oasis along I-95.

Exit 98: Santee

The main attraction at this exit is Santee State Park. With over 10 miles of trails through 2,500 acres, this park is a great place to get out and hike, bike, and even swim around Lake Marion! Soak in the beautiful views of the lake before getting back in your car and continuing through South Carolina.

Exit 33: Beaufort

Beaufort is about 30 minutes from the interstate, but it is one of the most beautiful towns on our I-95 exit guide of South Carolina. You’ll find that this charming and historic waterfront town is well worth the stop. Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park is a wonderful place for a stroll before grabbing a bite to eat in the downtown area. Antebellum homes and SC Lowcountry architecture give this area a southern charm that is unrivaled along the I-95 corridor. Movie buffs will love exploring the filming locations of movies like “Forrest Gump” and “Platoon” around the city.

Exit 8: Bluffton

The exit for Bluffton sits about 15 minutes from the South Carolina-Georgia border. After you pull off of I-95, head down 278 towards Hilton Head for about 30 minutes and you’ll arrive at another gorgeous coastal town. There are plenty of great spots to eat and shop near town and along the more commercial 278 strip, which is full of outlet malls. Old South mansions, churches, and Spanish moss draped-trees line the shady avenues of this 19th-century town.

Make Abingdon Manor Your Main Stop on Your Journey

A stay at Abingdon Manor is one to remember. We aren’t just any old stop along the I-95 corridor. Our charming and historic Inn features luxurious rooms, a fantastic dining experience, and beautiful grounds. The small, safe town of Latta is the perfect place to spend an evening away from the hustle and bustle of the interstate before continuing to your final destination. This isn’t just a stay at any old hotel or motel you’ll find along the highway. You’ll experience a relaxing getaway where you can treat yourself to a massage, an evening of cocktails, wine, and fine cuisine, and a gourmet breakfast!
